LITTLE KNOWN FACT
Gonna rise up to you
True enough to trust this time
With anything you need to come true
I was fixing to die then you said hi
Look down and see my lovely
The stars are shining in the sky
With anything you need to come true
I was fixing to die then you said hi
Tired of everyone
My eyes are only opened now
For anything you need to come true
I was fixing to die then you said hi
Never been an easy ride
But say the word and point the way
And it’s gonna be the way we’re going to
I was fixing to die then you said hi
Little known fact that
I was fixing to die then you said hi
Little known fact that…

August Can’t Remember Spring
August can’t remember Spring
It’s a very frightening thing
Locked between sleep and dream
Yet awake to all my anxieties
And the world on my screen
Finally on fire for damn good reason
Since May they’ve taken to the streets
While I’m still all about myself
August can’t remember Spring
I tell ya it’s a hell of a thing
Full of memory real and imagined
And Netflix and medication
And time in lieu
And time in space
Time on my hands
Blood on their faces and
I remember
The mirror saying
I remember
The mirror saying:
August can’t remember Spring
August can’t remember Spring
August can’t remember Spring
August can’t remember anything…anything…anything

Tribulation Ocean Song
Give me what the sirens sang
To crash that ship against the rocks
Take them down in the howling night
No terrain for these men
No tomorrow to destroy
Get in first and the world is saved
The monsters drowning in the waves
With all their worldly thoughts and deeds
Tribulation Ocean Song
Tribulation Ocean Song
Hear the heavens, sing along
Climb the sky and match its cry
Past the clouds, past oxygen
The sweetest feelings closing in
Lose your grip as they take form
A light so bright, so pure, you’re born
All over a god-damn-gain
Little baby ocean men
Tribulation Ocean Song
Tribulation Ocean Song

Information Evening Blues
Help us (help me)!
I’m lost, I sit alone
Another humiliation
Stacked on top of another
Where is my everyone?
Information Evening Blues
Information Evening
I don’t know what to do
I’ve had events in my life
Where I didn’t know what to do
But for this long, this deep
This suffocating?
Information Evening Blues
Information Evening
So this is how I get done to
So this is how I get done to
So this is how I get done too
There’s a screen on the stage
They tell you things you can’t fix
And these people get paid
And it sounds like a kiss
Kind of like this:
“La la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la…
Information Evening Blues
Information Evening
So this is how I get done to
So this is how I get done to
So this is how I get done too

Exercise Book
I got lost in words
Very young
When I got lost in words
Home I’d run
And sort out the situation
In my head
Writing lines of things
I’d left unsaid
An exercise book
Is all it took
Exercising
My heart and mind
What a golden time
With a broken shine

Suggested For Us
Steer you away
For a day
Somewhere simple
Somewhere green
A kind of music
In the distance
Suggested for us
By machines
And someone told me
In my sleep
You and I
Are pretty deep
The sky is CGI
And the stream does flow
And you complete me
And I had you at hello
Safe and sound
And all around us
Flowing like a dream
A kind of music
Suggested for us
By machines.

Rocking The Stranger
You don’t recognise me?
I see
You don’t recognise me?
I see
I’m rocking the stranger
Rocking the stranger
Don’t wanna tell your truth to me?
Well thank fuck
You wanna tell your truth to them?
Well good luck
I’m rocking the stranger
Rocking the stranger
Someone I’ve known all my life
Says the earth is flat
Someone I’ve known all my life
Says do your research and all that
And the gun massacres are staged by actors
And the pandemic is a lie!
Did I say this is someone I’ve known all my life?
Jesus Christ!
I’m rocking the stranger
Rocking the stranger

Sharon’s hands I can see them coming together in a clap towards that gorgeous face tilted up to the late night light bulb kick on with a big laugh oh that laugh I can see them on the steering wheel tapping along to Scott’s road tour trip music of choice I can see them rolling a race horse lifting a stubby of Cooper’s Red from the bar of the Camp Hotel I can see them stitching things together in a warehouse studio theatre space actual physical workshop share house living room or on a kitchen bench top I can see them pulling on ropes tying things together I can see them writing down the collective next step tearing something up to be recycled into art I can see those fingers as long and brown and nimble and assured in the dance of their doing and the skin of them always browned by the sun even in the depths of a Ballarat Winter Sharon’s hands were tough as fuck roughened worked and worn from her passions her doing her getting things done a lot got done with those calm and steady and beautiful hands Sharon’s hands Sharon’s hands Sharon’s hands I did notice them a lot it was just a small part of a big life that I observed felt so comfortable and assured in in literally safe and good hands as her friend back in the day and forever more and forever more and forever more and love to all who loved her too.

Do Not Leave Me Behind
First day new school year nine
From Saint Pauls ruined by them all
You turned around in science
Disarmed me with your smile
Do not leave me behind
Do not leave me behind
Disarmed me with your smile
Do not leave me behind
Weekends then listening with you
The albums red and blue and hatful of hollow too
So familiar and yet so brand new
Did you know you saved my life?
Do not leave me behind
Do not leave me behind
Did you know you saved my life?
Do not leave me behind
The old cemetery drinking late at night
A cliché but it happened anyway
Told me you were dropping out of school
A chill it went up my spine
Do not leave me behind
Do not leave me behind
A chill went up my spine
Do not leave me behind
Been thirty years or more
Last things said I can’t be sure
I went my way you went yours that’s all
But I had a dream last night
That I left you behind
That I left you behind
I had a dream last night that I left you behind

The Day
Can’t believe that there is something there
Looking over and a guiding all
The less alone he knows he truly is
The more he keeps himself out of that hole and
I just got to let the day go by
I just got to let the day go by
She turns to face another backwards smile
Fight or flighting out of everything
As long as she can disconnect herself
From the pain she’s in behind her wings and
I just got to let the day go by
I just got to let the day go by
Let the day go by
Let the day go by
And all I do today is wait for change
Into the man I am supposed to be
I’m just kidding I don’t care at all
On whatever your consensus is on this
I just got to let the day go by
I just got to let the day go by
Let the day go by
Let the day go by

Lockdown Lullaby
I love you when you’re asleep
You look at least in some kind of peace
And I know I know a lot you’re not
But I checked in and that’s all I got
Tonight for little sleeping you
The majority of my heart is yours
And that’s all we need to know
Going into tomorrow
And when you end up in the real world
You can always come home
Whenever you like or whenever you don’t
And hey I’ll say it all again
One day when you’re awake
And we’re okay
One day when you’re awake
And we’re okay
